Waitlist version · last updated 5 November 2026

This page explains what happens to your details when you join the Dear Hume waitlist. It is short because we collect very little.

Who we are

Dear Hume is run by Dariana Dorin, a sole trader in the United Kingdom, who is the data controller. Contact: [email protected].

What we collect

We don't use cookies or ad trackers on this site.

Why, and on what basis

Who else handles it

Only the services that run the waitlist for us, under contracts that stop them using your data for anything else:

Some of them may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. We never sell your details or share them with advertisers.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If you sign up but never confirm your email, we delete the entry after 30 days. If you unsubscribe, we keep only your email address on a "do not email" list so we don't contact you again.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your details, or object to how we use them, by emailing [email protected]. We reply within one month. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Age

The waitlist and the challenge are for people aged 18 and over.

Changes

Before the challenge starts we'll publish a fuller version covering your answers and your report, and we'll email you before it applies to you.
