how it works

An advent calendar where every door is about you.

Questions from personality research, spread over 24 days, so one bad Tuesday doesn't decide who you are.

01

Open today's door

One email a day. Six or seven quick questions and how you feel right now. About two minutes. Missed a day? Doors stay open.

02

Answer on instinct

Some questions come back days later. That's how we tell what's really you from what was just the day.

03

Read your Portrait

On 26 December: a free card to share and a one-page read. The full Portrait and your 2027 plan if you want them.

why 24 days

Took the type quiz five times and got four types?

You're not inconsistent. When a trait sits near the middle, one mood flips the letter, and a single sitting can't tell. Twenty-four days can. Your Portrait shows which parts of you hold steady and which move with the weather.

questions

Fair questions.

How long does it take each day?

About two minutes: six or seven taps, a mood check, and an optional one-line note about your year.

Is it really free?

Yes. All 24 doors, your card and a one-page read cost nothing. Your Portrait and the 2027 Plan are optional extras you can buy at the end.

What if I miss a day or join late?

You can join until 15 December. Doors stay open until 24 December and you can catch up three a day. Your Portrait needs 20 of the 24 doors.

Is it the 16-types quiz?

No. We measure the Big Five, the model research trusts, and show a four-letter type derived from it, including which letters are a coin toss for you.

Do I need an app?

No. Doors open from a daily email in your browser.

What happens to my answers?

They're used only to make your card and Portrait. We never sell them, and you can delete everything at any time. Details in the privacy notice.

Who is Dear Hume?

A small UK studio. The name nods to David Hume, who wrote that the self is a bundle of perceptions in constant flux. We think he'd have liked the repeats.
